At Bilbies our programs focus on providing a safe, supportive, home like nurturing environment where children feel secure and are encouraged to become confident, curious, independent learners, who trust in their own abilities.
Our curriculum is guided by Montessori principles, the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) ensuring a well-rounded, child-focused approach.
Our classroom learning environments are carefully prepared to allow children to practice skills to meet their milestones, support their physical and intellectual needs and encourage their potential.
Our teachers deliver engaging STEM learning across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, alongside Indigenous studies, English, Culture, Practical life, Sensorial learning, Music & Sports.
Kindergarten children learn in carefully prepared Montessori classrooms, organised into five key learning areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Cultural Studies.

Our Enrichment Programs offer exciting opportunities for children to explore STEM, Sports, Music, Yoga, Arts, and Cooking, fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Science – Children explore life cycles, weather, seasons, forces, movement, mixing, changes, and caring for the natural environment through hands-on investigations. Specialist incursions, such as the Butterfly Life-Cycle and Sustainability programs, bring learning to life.
Sports & Music – Professional led Sports and Music programs develop physical skills, coordination, teamwork, rhythm, and a love of movement and music, providing children with expert instruction and enrichment.
Yoga & Mindfulness -Children participate in yoga and mindfulness activities to build balance, flexibility, focus, and emotional awareness, supporting overall wellbeing and self-regulation.
Home Library – Each month, Kinder children receive a free book to keep. Teachers integrate these books into the curriculum to foster literacy, a love of reading, and family involvement.
Cooking & Gardens – Children engage in hands-on cooking with a chef, using produce grown in our planted gardens, learning about healthy eating, nutrition, and the journey of food from garden to plate.
